The 5th Asia LNG Summit 2010 will be held on October 13-14 at the Renaissance Beijing Capital Hotel in China

Posted on 13 June 2010

The Asia LNG Summit is jointly convened by Global Leaders Institute and China Petroleum and Petrochemical Engineering Institute, which is the only event supported by the top three oil companies in China — CNOOC, CNPC and Sinopec.

This Summit is a premier conference that gathers the decision makers of LNG buyers, sellers, traders, LNG shipping companies, technology providers and investors to be in one room to discuss about LNG future trends, business opportunities and technical issues that are critical to the development of the LNG market in the Asia Pacific region.

In the Asia region, the old LNG consumption pattern which is led by Japan and Korea is changing obviously due to the rapid development of the LNG market in China and India, etc. Asian buyers show much concern towards how to secure the LNG supply for their own country. In 2009, global gas consumption declined for the first time in the past decade and the price of gas in the key markets in Europe, South-America and Asia-Pacific sharply dropped. However, the consumption in Asia is still increasing.
