Pamela Slim: Top 10 Reasons NOT to go in business for yourself

Just came across the writings of Pamela Slim, and could not help noticing her Top 10 Reasons NOT to go in business for yourself article that talks once more of the goods and the bads of Entrepreneurship. As I wrote several times on this subject, I can make some comments on my own – on a random order:

#7: No safety net of a regular paycheck.
Correct. Most of the times when I was thinking on taking full time entrepreneurship, the first question was: ok, so who is going to pay the bills? Answer: Part time entrepreneurship.

#1: No zone-out weeks.
Correct. Here is what I wrote on the subject.

#8: No free office supplies.
Yep. True again. It’s surprising how much influence small costs can have on a small company budget. I think I wrote something about before.

#9: YOU are all the departments in your business.
Yes. Have a look at the “Do you have what it takes to be an entrepreneur?” article.
