Organization to identify, promote, and advance green business opportunities in the mid-Atlantic region

Posted on 07 March 2010

Cleantech Alliance Mid-Atlantic (CAMA) was founded in 2008 by professionals active in the cleantech and alternative energy industries to provide a forum bringing together investors, inventors, executives, entrepreneurs, scientists, academics, policy makers, and others in order to identify, promote, and advance opportunities in those industries throughout the mid-Atlantic region.

In 2009, operating as Renewable Energy Business Network (Mid-Atlantic), CAMA brought together a total of over 1,000 professionals at six investor and social networking events held in Philadelphia, Villanova, Huntingdon Valley, and Wilmington, and featuring speakers from the investment, government, and entrepreneurial communities.

In 2010, under its new name, CAMA’s leadership is committed to promoting continued expansion of relationships and opportunities among alternative energy and cleantech professionals in the mid-Atlantic region, including at the 2nd Annual Mid-Atlantic Cleantech Investment Forum to be held on March 25, 2010 at the Academy of Natural Sciences, and featuring speakers from CenterPoint Energy, Element Partners, Battelle Ventures, GE Capital/GE Equity, and DuPont Ventures. Register here!

In addition, in March 2010, CAMA will launch an updated, interactive Web site, where investors, entrepreneurs, and company executives can meet each other, share information, including success stories, and ultimately collaborate on alternative energy and cleantech opportunities in the region.
