Peter Burns from Institute for Entrepreneurship introduced me to a great resource for any USA based entrepreneur: Club E Network . The Club E Network is “the new online and “on the ground” social network for aspiring, emerging and experienced entrepreneurs. Our open source organization invites the global entrepreneur community to join together and synergize their talents while encouraging the free exchange of ideas and resources.” So I thought, WOW, finally a network where I could meet entrepreneurs!
He said: “You could help spreading the word of our growing network of entrepreneurial resources (all free) and encouraging many of your European contacts to sign up on our beta site www.clubenetwork.com. Then, you could include your blogging on our own site, in addition to your own, of course, so our viewers in America could learn much about the European perspective on entrepreneurship and what’s happening cross the world.”
I’ve also got some more details about Club E Network from Merlin Ward:
Club Entrepreneur is much more than just a network event. We bring together Entrepreneurs and small business owners from all walks of life, areas of business, and stages of development. We follow a policy of what we call “open source entrepreneurship†– the free exchange of ideas and experiences – which brings a much different culture to our events that a boring corporate networking spiel. Our members engage one another to share their passion and experiences to learn from one another. In turn we are developing aspiring entrepreneurs who are armed with the knowledge to succeed. They say only 1 and 10 business succeed in the US, and Club E would like to bring that to 5, then 6 then 9 out of 10.
We also partnered with a few organizations in the education sector. DECA, FBLA, Phi Beta Lambda, and Junior Achievement to bring entrepreneurship to students at young ages. Then we connect these students with the seasoned and experienced entrepreneurs so that they can learn from them and avoid many of the classic mistakes.
Every facet of Club E is designed around open source entrepreneurship. Building business better faster and more successful through the exchange of knowledge and ideas. Even the older entrepreneurs are learning things. As the aspiring entrepreneurs are coming up with new questions they are including the new technologies that are created everyday and coming up with issues some had never thought of before. Above all, our events include making business deals. We don’t just network to talk to people later, deals literally happen right there in the room. Its amazing!
I’ve made a quick registration (it’s free) and noticed that there are already some local chapters in USA. But will this work in Europe?

I believe it will work in Europe! Just give it some time, and everyone in the world will soon realize the possibilities of Entrepreneurship.
