Getting soft in the corporate environment

Posted on 05 January 2006

I’ve just realized that having now a year since I’m working with a big company changed a lot my life; I’m getting soft… Before I was in a continuous run for improvement, for new ideas. I was reading articles to improve my knowledge and I was having a lot of professional challenges. But working in a big corporation might make you softer. You don’t have to think too much, you are not so challenged each day. You simply have to follow the corporate rules, somebody before you established how things should be done, and put you to this. I can’t see how the business is going in all its aspects, and you don’t really understand what’s going on, just because you have your limited area to work on. Thanks God for having a business on the side – its keeping me thinking.
