Feeling discouraged by your start-up

Posted on October 7, 2007

Just like any other entrepreneur I have days when I feel very bad about my company and what we have accomplished so far. I was just about to write a post to describe about the discouraged feeling when I’ve came accros and excellent description from a fellow blogger, Frank Addante: “It is very, very hard to remain positive 100% of the time. You may hire someone that doesn’t perform 100% to your expectations. You might make a decision that wastes money. You might delete a file that costs you time. You might accidentally say the wrong thing to the wrong person. You might have people trying to discourage you. These things will always exist.”.

Now, if you look at the Frank Addante about page, you will see that he is an accomplished entrepreneur: “Frank Addante has a successful entrepreneurial track record, having started 5 companies, resulting in one IPO and two acquisitions.Mr. Addante was an Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist, was nominated for Inc. Magazine’s Entrepreneur of the Year award and has been quoted in publications such as Forbes, MSNBC, RedHerring, InformationWeek and the Los Angeles and Silicon Valley Business Journals. “

So if Frank talks about the “emotional roller coasters” of being an entrepreneur, then I better not try to write anything on my own, and just give you the link to read it from the source: read Frank’s Stay Positive story
