Clarkson University’s Entrepreneurship Center will offer the popular My Small Business 101 series in Potsdam and Saranac Lake this fall.
The center had a combined 65 small business owners in attendance during the Ogdensburg and Louisville series held this summer and registrations for the next offerings are coming in daily.
Small business people in all stages of business are invited to attend this very successful course, which is delivered in four weekly two-hour sessions. Each week, Marc Compeau, director of the Entrepreneurship Center, will focus on a different topic, including Thinking Strategically, Resource Management, Marketing Management and Financial Management.
“The program has been very successful,” says Compeau. “Participants have told us that they receive lots of practical and useful information, tools and resources. They also appreciate the encouragement and inspiration. We are looking forward to our return to campus and to welcoming our inaugural class to the new Adirondack Business Center in Saranac Lake.”
The Potsdam course will be held on September 20, September 27, October 4, and October 11 from 6 to 8 p.m. in Bertrand H. Snell Hall on the Clarkson campus.
The Saranac Lake course will be on October 19, October 26, November 2, and November 9 from 6-8 p.m. at the Adirondack Business Center at 141 River Street. Registration is required and the course is free.
Those interested in attending the Potsdam course should contact Erin Draper at the Entrepreneurship Center by Monday, September 13, at 315-268-3995 or edraper@clarkson.edu.
