I personally find the "Friends and family are more important" issue perhaps the most difficult to deal with when being a side entrepreneur. I have nonetheless run a side business for some time, as I have always been concerned about "putting all my eggs in one basket," namely relying on a single paycheck from an employer. Especially these days, few of us can afford a false sense of security -- no job is permanent and people should have an additional income source they can fall back on. Thanks for a good post.
